Reversible Glass Lime Butterfly Necklace

Papilio demoleus or commonly known as The Lime butterfly wing fragment in a 23mm x 23mm Stainless Steel glass pendant.

A few interesting facts:

Unlike most members of the swallowtail family, the lime butterfly does not have the signature tail-like extensions on its hindwings. Instead, it has a rounded edge marked with orange and blue eyespots. Females lay their eggs on citrus plants—such as lime, lemon, and orange trees—where the caterpillars feed on the leaves. Young caterpillars look like fresh bird droppings, a clever camouflage that helps them hide from predators. As the caterpillars grow larger, they turn bright green with fake eyespots to mimic a snake.
